Time flies so fast, almost two years has passed since my last post
Now, i'm officially a wife, a happy one :)
I was busy preparing my big day (well, that's just an excuse, honestly i'm just lazy xp ) so i don't post too much back then. But several friends told me, my blog is pretty useful for those who will have a wedding, particularly those who wants a simply - chic garden party in Bandung.
Our wedding was held on September, 07 2014. I remember that day as if it were yesterday. I remember every tiny details, for me it's perfect, just like what i longing for. Photos from instagram and pinterest really influence and inspire me.
Create a theme!
As written on my previous post, Maxi's Resto is the chosen one. Since food is also provided by them, i cross it out from my to-do list. Next, define the wedding theme. What is a theme per se? a theme is a style and concept choice that you apply to all aspects of your wedding day, from the invitations, specific color, decoration, wedding dress, etc.
Create a theme is pretty important since it will represent your taste, what you want your wedding day to say about you, and moreover how you want it to make you and your guest feel. It binds everything together so your wedding will be enjoyable and memorable by you and your guest.
At first, my theme was outdoor casual chic, main color is pastel (white, mint green, peach)
But after several consideration, since i held my reception at night time, i think those concept will be too simple and a little pale. I add gold & bronze at the color palette to make it more classy, elegant, and romantic :)
Vendor Hunting!
Next thing to do: find the vendor that match your taste and needs. Once again i repeat, we should implement the basic principles of economic: the maximum benefit at the minimum cost.
Find a great decoration vendor is easy if you have unlimited budget. Most of the vendor bravely state their number: Rp 45.000.00,00 or more. Phew, that doesn't meet our costing and we're not that - wedding is once a lifetime moment, so splurge all your money to make it looks like royal wedding - kind of couple. So, skip-skip-skip to all those overpriced vendor. Come on, it's just a one day ceremonial thing, better save your money for your other need.
